Cowran Estate produces the finest Christmas geese available anywhere; by method of slow, free-range rearing, and hand plucking.

Included: One free-range, hand-plucked, oven-ready goose breast, stuffed with our homemade apricot & almond stuffing, and optionally wrapped in bacon; one pop-up goose timer (to help cook your goose breast to perfection); bouquet garni and fresh goose giblets (to help achieve the perfect gravy).

Cowran Geese leave our hatchery and begin their lives in the safe surroundings of our orchid and walled garden, protected from the wind and rain, and predators. Here they remain, feeding on local cereals and glorious green grass until they are ready to venture out to wider Cowran pastures.

Entirely free-range and able to mature gently at their own pace, our geese lead a natural and fulfilling life. It’s an old-fashioned approach to rearing this most traditional and now extremely fashionable of Christmas birds. A goose at Christmas will never disappoint!

Two birds are better than one…  We suggest ordering turkey and goose together.  They complement each other perfectly on your plate and there’s nothing better than goose fat for basting your turkey.  We sell goose breast roasts too!
